ABOUT MONUMENT

A Higher Standard of M&A Advisory.

Monument Advisory Group was founded on the belief that business owners deserve experienced, dedicated advisors who approach every transaction with the same level of commitment and care that owners have invested in building their companies.

OUR STORY

Founded by Payton Anderson and Dan Staffieri, Monument brings together more than $1 billion in combined transaction experience across investment banking, acquisitions, and executive leadership. Our Managing Partners have advised business owners, worked alongside private equity investors, and held leadership roles within growing businesses, providing a well-rounded perspective on the decisions that shape successful transactions.

Monument was established to deliver a more personalized advisory experience. We believe owners navigating significant financial and strategic decisions deserve direct access to experienced professionals, thoughtful advice, and a trusted partner who remains actively engaged throughout the process. By maintaining a selective client roster, we provide the attention, responsiveness, and execution capabilities each engagement deserves.

OUR PRINCIPLES

The Principles Behind Every Partnership

PRINCIPLE 01

Value Extends Beyond the Purchase Price

A successful transaction is defined by more than enterprise value. Considerations such as transaction structure, proceeds at closing, future obligations, and post-transaction involvement can materially influence the outcome.

PRINCIPLE 02

The Right Buyer Matters as Much as the Right Offer

The ideal buyer offers more than attractive economics. We evaluate strategic alignment, transaction certainty, and the potential implications for employees, customers, and the business's long-term future.

PRINCIPLE 03

Direct Access to Experienced Advisors

Our Managing Partners lead every engagement personally, providing continuity, accountability, and experienced judgment from initial planning through transaction completion.

PRINCIPLE 04

Preparation Creates Opportunity

Thoughtful exit planning can strengthen a company's market position, reduce transaction risk, and create greater flexibility when the time comes to pursue a sale.

EXIT PLANNING & PREPARATION

Building Value Before the Transaction

Some clients engage Monument when they are prepared to pursue a sale. Others begin the conversation years in advance. We work with owners at both stages, providing strategic guidance to strengthen business fundamentals, address potential transaction challenges, and establish a clear path toward a successful ownership transition.
